THE LAST FILM LABORATORY CAPTURED IN 35MM.

Film as a physical support of images is meant to disappear in the next few years as it is being taken over by the accessibility and brilliant results of digital recording devices. New Zealand’s last film lab, Park Road Post-Production laboratory, has recently announced the closing of its activities after more than 70 years of film processing. Following the announcement, Victor and I decided to collect moments of the life in the lab.

We are creating a short documentary about the people and their amazing extensive knowledge. Part of it will be composed by individual portraits of each employee located in a particular place of the lab. We have shot these on an old Arri 35mm film camera owned by the laboratory. The editing is in progress and no realease date has been planned yet.
