Produced as part of Fred's three years at the Louis Lumière Film School in Paris, Melocoton was shot over two weeks around Paris and the Bois de Vincennes. Melocoton was inspired by Fred's travels around Spain and his fascination with the radio. He wanted to show how it possible to feel alone even in a large city like Paris. The use of the radio was Rodrigo's way to reach out to a wider audience and be heard.

The film was shot on 16mm and edited professionally in Paris. The music is an original soundtrack by Camille Raulet and friends.
